In IPL Season 1 Shaun Marsh from the Kings XI Punjab scored the 616 Runs in the 11 innings and secured his position for the Orange Cap.In 2009 2nd Season of the IPL Matthew Hayden of the Australia player of the Chennai Superkings get the Position of the Orange Cap holder by scoring the 572 runs in the 12 innings. The Great Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar Also got the Orange Cap in 2010 the 3rd Season of the IPL.As a captain of the Mumbai Indians, He scores 618 runs in 15 matches. In IPL Season 4 and IPL Season 5 Chris Gayle from Westindies secured his name in Orange Cap holders list twice. Playing from the side Royal Challengers Bangalore he scores 608 and 733 in the IPL Season 4 And 5 respectively. In IPL Season 6 Michael Hussey from Chennai Superkings Scored the 733 runs and got Orange Cap.In IPL season 7 Robbin Uthappa from Kolkata knight riders gets the Orange cap by scoring 660 runs in 16 matches.David Warner the captain of the sunrisers Hyderabad got the orange cap in IPL 8. Virat Kohli scored 973 Runs.He scored 973 runs in 16 matches only.
